Is Liger a Tollywood Movie or a Bollywood Movie?
A movie should be made in Telugu and Hindi language to be classified as a movie from Tollywood and Bollywood film industry. If a movie has been shot in Hindi, it will be classified as a Bollywood movie since Hindi is the primary language of the Bollywood film industry. Similarly, if a movie is made in the Telugu language, it will be classified as a Tollywood movie. In the case of Liger movie, the movie has been shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu language. With this, we conclude that Liger is both – A Bollywood as well a Tollywood movie.
That being said, Liger movie marks the Bollywood debut of Vijay Deverakonda and the Tollywood debut of Ananya Pandey.

It should also be seen that dubbed versions of movies should not be assigned into any categories. A Hindi movie will only remain a Bollywood movie even if it has been dubbed in Telugu or Kannada. And same applies to movies coming from Telugu or Kannada film industry getting dubbed in the Hindi language. RRR or KGF 2 were dubbed in Hindi. This, however, doesn’t make them a Bollywood movie.
Liger movie is produced by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. Apart from the original Hindi and Telugu versions, dubbed versions of the Liger movie will also be released in Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam languages. Liger is all set for a worldwide release on 25th August 2022.
