Those who have watched the movie would know that the film had a post-credits title “Part Two: Dev” to be continued. As the movie suggested, Part Two: Dev will be based on Dev, who is the father of Ranbir Kapoor’s character in the movie.

Will there be Brahmastra Part Two: Dev?
So far, there have only been rumors in the media that Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, and Hrithik Roshan were approached for the role in Brahmastra part 2. To make sure Brahmastra part 2 goes on floors, the makers have to ensure that movie recovers at least 1.5 times the budget (₹410 crores) from the box office. After a day of its release, the word-of-mouth game for Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has not picked up. This means that the movie would end up grossing ₹130-200 crores, the amount reported by Elara Capital.
According to the various online discussions and blogs, the news of actors being approached for Part Two: Dev is most likely an artificial hype created, a marketing gimmick. This makes the audience engaged in the franchise. This pushes more people to watch Brahmastra in theatres.
The non-recovery of the budget from the box office would mean that the makers will have to ultimately shelve the Brahmastra Part Two: Dev project.
Only time will tell whether or not the makers have decided to go for Brahmastra Part Two: Dev. As of now we only have rumors. But one thing is sure if the movie fails to make a mark at the box office, Brahmastra part 2 is unlikely to be revived.
